He made the remark in an article published in a local media outlet of Iraqi Kurdistan region, saying that Iraq has strong and solid ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and wishes to further develop relations and cooperation for more economic growth and regional security.
He added that the new Iraqi government aims to make infrastructural reforms in Iraq, combat corruption, solve the unemployment issue, approve the election law and hold negotiations to solve problems facing Irbil and Baghdad.
He went on to maintain that Iraq has paid a heavy price in fighting against terrorism, adding that uprooting terrorism, however, requires continued regional and international cooperation, since terrorism is directly linked with the security of all countries.
Iraqi President further pointed to some problems in Iraq such as the water crisis, monitoring of borders, organizing trade and business activities, as well as religious and cultural tourism and called on neighboring countries to reach a comprehensive agreement with Iraqi government based on mutual respect.
